Jessi Baker participated in Sustain Talks 5.1 with SustainRCA and the People’s Parliament last year, discussing consumerism and retail and their impact on our world. SustainRCA writes “Child labour, sweatshops, deforestation, global warming: the impact of what we buy and consume has far-reaching environmental and social impact way beyond what we see at the point of sale.” The event also featured talks from fashion designer Bruno Pieters, Historic Futures‘ Tim Wilson, filmmaker Leah Borromeo, Baroness Lola Young OBE, and a 200-strong audience to discover the growing movement improving transparency in global supply chains
