Ginger Beer has been brewed up as a spicy refreshing soda for centuries, and it was one of the original carbonated drinks and was made to stimulate the palate. Our recipe was one of the very first we made, and we’re proud of it’s natural heat and rich, well rounded flavour.

Ginger beer history
Ginger Beer has been brewed up as a spicy refreshing soda for centuries, and ginger has been popular as a digestive aid since slightly before the dawn of time. As one of the original carbonated drinks, Ginger Beer was designed to stimulate the palate, and ginger is great for fighting nausea.
We only use fresh ginger root for our Ginger Beer. We chop and press out the ginger for a fresh, clean taste.
Boiling and steeping
We boil and steep what’s left to release the natural spicy flavours.
Adding lemon juice
Then we add fresh pressed lemon juice.
Blending with sugar
We then blend with four different types of responsibly sourced sugar, including dark, sticky muscovado, and bright, golden cane sugar.
We produce and bottle all our soda on site in Hackney.
