An exotic & luxurious Chocolate Fruit Cake, full of flavours of the east; Chocolate, Pistachios, Honey, Cardamom & plump juicy vine fruits, & laced with heady Rose Geranium & Turkish Delight Liqueur
Jane has worked hard to source all the elements of her mouth-watering cakes from as close to her home at Wadsley Hall Farm in Sheffield as possible.
Where our name came from
Tip over Tipple Tails is a Yorkshire phrase for a 'head over heels', a 'backward flip' or a 'roly poly', & conjures up images of childhood & innocent fun; the simple things in life. In Yorkshire, it is also used to describe a person who would bend over backwards to do something.
Our local suppliers
Butter for the cakes is sourced from Longley Farm in Holmfirth, free range eggs from a few miles from home in Dunsford Bridge, & flour milled in Driffield by Bradshaws.
Vine & glace fruits, nuts, sugar & spice are sourced from Shepcote, a family wholesaler in Driffield & S Hukin, a very long established wholesale business in Sheffield.
Jane is using the delicious, unusual & award winning Boozy Infusion liqueurs developed by Andy Gardiner from Beatson House Restaurant in Cawthorne, near Barnsley to feed the cakes with.
Local sourcing policy for packaging supplies too!
Jane is passionate about taking good care of her little piece of the world & has taken lots of care with her choice of packaging materials too. Local sourcing extends to the packaging & marketing as well, with paper cake cases made in Chapel-on-le-Frith in the Peak District; cellophane bags & postal & packing boxes from a Sheffield based company; bakers twine is made in Lancashire &, whilst sadly not from Yorkshire, the little cake tins are made in London & not China!
The Tipple Tails Fruit Cake Experience
The Tipple Tails fruit cake experience begins from the moment you see the product - it isn't just about the cake.
Each cake is beautifully packaged in its own pretty tin made by a long established tin maker in London, which can be used over & over again for all sorts of things, especially another Tipple Tails cake.
Open the lid & you find a dainty little card telling you what Tipple Tails means.
Underneath the card is the cake, wrapped in biodegradable cellophane, & hand tied with bakers twine. Each cake looks as good as it tastes.
Unwrap the cake to find a mouth-wateringly moist cake with a tempting aroma, bursting with fruit & nuts & laced with an unusual English pudding liqueur. A truly delicious experience from beginning to end!
Tipple Tails cakes are special, they really do deliver on their promise. Focusing on provenance, quality, taste & experience, with a light-hearted, touch results in a fabulous stylish product, which feels really personal. The attention to detail creates a truly desirable gift or treat, perfect for celebrating a special occasion.
