Our Sacha Inchi fruit is grown in Northern Thailand. This story describes the process that takes the fruit from the Farm to the oil in the bottle.

Sacha Inchi Plantations
Sacha Inchi is a woody vine that grows up to about 1700 meters above sea level. The vine is trained along wires like grapes are to allow for easy picking of the fruit.

The Fruit Ripens ready for picking
Sacha Inchi fruit is star shaped with between 3 and 7 points each point containing a seed. The fruit is a vibrant green color until it matures when it turns brown. When dried and brown the fruit is ready for picking.

The removal of the outer Husk and Hull
The outer Husk and Hull of the Sacha Inchi fruit is mechanically removed to reveal the white seed. The seed contains all of the Omega Oil and Protein.

Expelling of the Oil
The Sacha Inchi seeds are cold pressed via a screw press that removes the Oil and leaves a powder.

Bottling of the Oil
The Sacha Inchi Oil is then filtered and bottled immediately for maximum freshness.
