A former Broadway actress turned real estate broker, things took a turn in 2011 when a breast cancer diagnosis came out of the blue for Cynthia. Stunned, and feeling helpless throughout her journey, She took control by changing habits that she felt may have contributed to her body "betraying" her. One of those things was making her own skincare to keep her skin healthy during radiation. Other women she was in treatment with hopped on board and end the end of her treatment, her oncology team told her to bottle and sell what she was using as her skin stayed so healthy. Not only did she create Violets Are Blue but she donates product to women on their first day of chemo at NYC's Mount Sinai Hospital. She wants women to feel as empowered as she was by using these products and knowing they are being gifted by someone who has gone through the journey means all the more to the women. 10% of purchase price go towards these donations.
