Project Provenance Ltd. and the Provenance website (“Provenance”, the “Site”, “we”, “us” or “our”) facilitates the use of cutting edge digital technologies to make supply chains more transparent. We are a tiered software service and to keep our offer inclusive we offer a free Member tier. We see Provenance as part of a business’ marketing efforts – but we are not in the business of advert making. Provenance exists to unlock the truth for customers.
We commit to fair and transparent business practices ourselves. We promise to treat all members fairly, communicate our policies clearly, and support everyone to the best of our ability. We also request a few things from you, too.
Provenance Guidelines
Provenance is a software solution for makers and creators all along a product’s supply chain. Please only upload photos that you created or have written permission to use. Intellectual property rights (including copyright) violations will not be tolerated.
Provenance is for showcasing real-life making, not airbrushed faux craft. Minimise the use of photo editing such as excessive filters, photo-collages, borders, faux-crops, overlaid text or vectors. Please keep it raw and real.
Provenance is a software solution specifically designed for showcasing the people, places and processes behind the creation and lifecycle of products. Please refrain from uploading text or images that don’t relate to your products or their journey.
Don’t use Provenance to annoy, harass, or abuse anyone. Hate speech, impersonation, and intimidation will not be tolerated.
Provenance is committed to truth. Whilst Provenance requires users to provide proof to publish a claim, we rely on users to upload this on their own behalf. If we discover that claims do not align with your working practice, we will remove your contributions from our Site.
If you see examples of users ignoring these guidelines on Provenance, including fabricating or misrepresenting the truth, please call it out. Email us at [email protected]
Bumped into a bug? Have an idea for a feature? We’d love to hear from you. Email us at [email protected].
We reserve the right to remove any image, story, or member that violates these guidelines. If you have a question about something that’s not covered here, please get in touch.
