This category addresses animal testing only — it does not cover whether products contain animal-derived ingredients (see Vegan). All claims in this category are third-party verified. Some certifications are dedicated cruelty-free standards (Leaping Bunny CCIC, Leaping Bunny Cruelty-Free, PETA Cruelty-Free, PETA Cruelty-Free & Vegan). Others include a no-animal-testing requirement as part of a broader vegan or ingredient standard (The Vegan Trademark, BIORIUS Vegan Certified, Cosmos Standard Organic, Cosmos Standard Natural). Provenance confirms active certification status and reviews the certified scope. Each listing shows the certification standard, whether coverage is brand-wide or product-specific, and the date certification status was last confirmed.
