ICEA (Istituto per la Certificazione Etica e Ambiental) is a non profit consortium of institutions, associations, companies and civil society organizations. ICEA inspects and certifies companies against both internal and external standards.

PETA is a certification body who sets a standard for ‘cruelty-free’ and ‘vegan’ products. These include cosmetics, personal care, and household cleaning products. They were founded in 1980 by Ingrid Newkirk & Alex Pacheco and are headquartered in Virginia, USA.
