Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO)
La RSPO est une association à but non lucratif, créée en 2004, qui a élaboré un ensemble de critères environnementaux et sociaux auxquels les entreprises doivent se conformer pour produire de l'huile de palme certifiée durable (CSPO). Ces critères permettent de minimiser l'impact négatif de la culture de l'huile de palme sur l'environnement et les communautés des régions productrices d'huile de palme. Les produits utilisant de l'huile de palme certifiée RSPO peuvent utiliser la marque RSPO.

To produce CSPO:
No primary forests or areas which contain significant concentrations of biodiversity (e.g. endangered species) or fragile ecosystems, or areas which are fundamental to meeting basic or traditional cultural needs of local communities (high conservation value areas), can be cleared.
Reduced use of pesticides and fires
All organization that take legal ownership and physically handles RSPO Certified Sustainable palm oil must be certified
At a product level, both of the following are allowed: segregated palm oil (which contains 100% certified palm oil) and mass balance palm oil (where the business buys mixed certified and non-certified palm oil and matches inputs and outputs).
Farms and Mills are audited in person.
Certification is valid 5 years
