In North America the Leaping Bunny Program is managed by the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics (CCIC) a coalition formed of eight animal protection groups. They have partnered with Cruelty Free International and are licensed to use the Leaping Bunny logo.

- The brand or their suppliers don’t conduct, commission, pay for, or allow any tests on animals for ingredients, formulations, or finished products
- The brand must implement a supplier monitoring system
- The brand must recommit annually
- CCIC may require a Company's Supplier Monitoring System to be submitted to an Independent Audit
- The standard differs from Cruelty-Free International's standard
