Managed by the European Commission, it ensures responsible agricultural practices, limits synthetic pesticides, bans GMOs, promotes biodiversity, and guarantees at least 95% organic ingredients in processed foods. ProductStandard Summary
**A product must meet the following standards:
Use farming methods that enhance soil fertility and biodiversity.
Ensure genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are not used in farming and production.
Synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and chemical fertilisers use is strictly limited to exceptional cases
Any livestock must have access to outdoor grazing and organic feed.
For processed foods, at least 95% of ingredients must be organic, and only approved additives can be used.
Certified operators are subject to at least one mandatory annual inspection by an accredited certifying body.
