Proof Point Level
Product Business

  • The practice must target an emission hotspot in the supply chain. This should be supported by an existing analysis of the brand's footprint or academic literature on the topic
  • The practice must be implemented across the business/facility
  • Offsets do not qualify
  • When compared to more carbon-intensive alternatives, the comparison should be made with similar products with the same use case

Publication Requirements

  • Outline practice(s) and what they are targetting
  • The claim must be clearly attributed to the supply chain stage at which the initiative is implemented

Accepted Evidence

Evidence should strongly support the claim and will be made publicly available

  • Clear credible evidence that the practice has been implemented e.g. a geolocalised timestamped picture or a report

Accepted Verifiers

Verifiers are third parties who can confirm the validity of a given Proof Point

  • Third party (and in some cases supplier) involved in the practice
