Standard Summary

  • Certification is granted against three principles:

    • No child labour is allowed
    • No forced or bonded labour is allowed
    • Conditions of work are documented and verifiable
  • Licensees must map and disclose the full supply chain by product, including subcontracted workshops and home-based production

  • Production sites are subject to unannounced inspections, with the minimum inspection frequency no less than once every six months

  • A wider set of criteria covering discrimination, freedom of association, health and safety, wages, working hours and environmental impact is monitored and reported, but certification is not granted or withheld on it

  • Only licensed producers may apply the GoodWeave label, and labels are issued per product
